bless my birth

Better to sit at the waters' birth, than a sea of waves to win; To live in the love that floweth forth, Than the love that cometh in. Be thy heart a well of love, my child, Flowing, and free, and sure; For a cistern of love, though undefiled, keeps not the spirit pure.

A Girlie Day

September 20th, 2009 by Jennifer

And another time when Jonny was busy, the girls and I spent the day at Strands, down in my beloved hometown, Dana Point. (Notice how Aveline has on the same lovely outfit this day as she did on our Girlie Night?)

Looking back on this day I wonder, what the heck am I gonna do with myself when these children of mine are grown? Could anything sound even remotely fun or interesting, when I’ve known the pleasure of spending a silvery day on the shore with two beautiful, friendly, playful mermaids?

Thanks for the compliments on my sweeties! I remember Diego so very well, Roxie! He showed up in many of your drawings and I think you even added him into the picture of the whole school in my 8th grade yearbook!
