bless my birth

Better to sit at the waters' birth, than a sea of waves to win; To live in the love that floweth forth, Than the love that cometh in. Be thy heart a well of love, my child, Flowing, and free, and sure; For a cistern of love, though undefiled, keeps not the spirit pure.

Loquat Jam

May 9th, 2008 by Jennifer

We made loquat jam from the loquats from a tree on our property.

Here are some photos of this cool experience:

These vintage dishes were given to us by our dear friends Makoto and Madoka before they knew that we have loquat trees!

Me: Knock knock . . .
You: Who’s there?
Me: Woo . . .
You: Woo, who?
Me: WOO HOO, we made loquat jam from scratch!

Thank you God, for the miracle of fruit bearing trees and for the ingenuity of mankind, created in your image, that he used his intelligence for something so worthwhile as making jam!
